Amana Wall Sleeve Installer's Guide
Standard depth wall sleeve. Review the installer's guide above for answers on all wall sleeve framing, location and wall depth questions. If your wall is too deep for the standard wall sleeve, go to the extended depth wall sleeve section. A wall sleeve is required on all new installations. The wall sleeve gets permanently mounted in the wall and forms the outer casing of the air conditioning system. When you replace the PTAC unit down the road, the wall sleeve typically stays in the wall, and you only replace the inner chassis. The WS900E is a solid sided wall sleeve with insulation, a temporary weather board and a Stonewood Beige finish which matches the PTAC's front cover. If you're replacing an existing unit and the existing wall sleeve measures 42"W x 16"H x 14.125"D, you can buy a replacement chassis only, and slide it into your existing wall sleeve.

Amana RTS Installer's Guide
Allows inexpensive, low-voltage temperature sensing on an internal wall for more accurate temperature control. This is a sensor ONLY, not to be confused with a thermostat. There's no temperature setpoint dial, temperature settings would still be done at the PTAC unit control panel.
Amana Wiring Harness Installer's Guide
A low voltage wiring harness is required if adding low voltage control options such as; wall thermostats, door switches, motion sensors, emergency hydronic heat, load shedding, front desk controls or transfer fans (relay must be manufacturer-approved and have a DC low voltage coil).
Amana REK10B Installer's Guide
This kit includes 10 low voltage wiring harnesses (PWHK01C) and 10 control cover plates to advise the user the PTAC unit has a remote control device installed. A wiring harness is required if adding low voltage control options such as; wall thermostats, door switches, motion sensors, emergency hydronic heat, load shedding, front desk controls or transfer fans (relay must be manufacturer-approved and have a DC low voltage coil).
Amana Digismart Installer's Guide
This wireless antennae gets mounted on the PTAC unit and plugs in to the control board. It receives communication signals from other remote mounted DigiSmart wireless devices like the DS01E wireless wall mounted thermostat and the DD01E wireless motion sensor / door switch.
Wireless devices eliminate the need to run control wiring. This wireless wall mounted thermostat gets mounted on a wall. It communicates with the DT01A antennae which must be mounted on the PTAC unit.
Wireless devices eliminate the need to run control wiring. This wireless door switch and motion detector is typically used in hotels to save energy. When there's no motion in the room, the PTAC temperature setpoint gets changed. It communicates with the DT01A antennae which must be mounted on the PTAC unit.
Amana Subbase Installer's Guide
A subbase is a metal electrical box that gets installed under the wall sleeve. Run your wiring into the subbase and than plug the AC unit cord into the subbase outlet. Be sure to review the wall sleeve installer's guide to see the mounting height requirements when using a subbase. The fully skirted subbase conceals wiring while providing strong support, if needed. Plug-in receptacle and field-wiring access speeds installation. Electrical accessories, such as fuse holders, circuit breakers and disconnect switches can be mounted on the subbase while still meeting N.E.C. requirements.
This is a NON-electrical subbase that is used for adding support under the wall sleeve. An electrical subbase is a metal electrical box that gets installed under the wall sleeve. Amana Drain Kit Installer's Guide
A drain kit is not required. A drain kit gets fastened to the wall sleeve and gives you a pipe nipple for hose attachment (hose not included). The drain kit can be used for internal (inside a wall) or external drain systems. This accessory is most commonly used on hotels and condominiums to eliminate water stains on the side of the building, or to prevent water from dripping on objects or people below.
Amana Leveling Legs Installer's Guide
Leveling legs are designed to provide extra front support and leveling of the wall sleeve. Two leg assemblies are required per unit and are provided in each kit. Four screws are also provided with each kit for attachment to the wall sleeve. See Figure 1. The leveling legs must be installed before the chassis is installed, but after the wall sleeve is in place. Holes must be drilled in each side of the wall sleeve, below the duct package holes, for attachment to the wall sleeve.
Amana Key Lock Installer's Guide
In conjunction with the tamper-resistant front, the installation of Amana brand security key locks prevents tampering with the controls used to set temperature, heating and cooling functions. U.L. approved for institutional use only.
Amana Curtain Baffles Installer's Guide
10 pack curtain baffles. Color matched plastic baffles that help keep curtains from falling into the discharge airstream which causes air recirculation, reduced efficiencies and shortened compressor life.
Amana Baffle Kit Installer's Guide
For use on non-baffled grilles. Includes 2 air-deflection baffles that can be mounted on the condenser coil to direct air toward the center and away from the inlet. This prevents the recirculation of hot condenser air, maintaining unit cooling and heating capacity and unit efficiency. Use the baffles when an older unit is being replaced and when the existing grille does not have deflector baffles. Any existing baffles must be removed to install this kit..
Amana Power Door Kit Installer's Guide
This automatically opens or closes the vent door depending on fan operation (opens when fan is operating; closes when fan is off). This allows ventilation with outside air during fan operation and saves energy during outside temperature drops.
Amana Power Vent Kit Installer's Guide
This kit employs a specially designed fan to increase outdoor air CFM (up to 95 CFM) through the vent during fan operation. Designed for applications where outside air ventilation is imperative.
Amana Duct Kit Installer's Guide
When two adjacent rooms need to be conditioned, these duct kits can transfer air between rooms (airflow distribution can be adjusted from 65/35 to 80/20). Refer to the installer's guide above for details. The main duct and transition duct are the pieces that attach to the top of the PTAC unit. Add the extension duct kit to go from the main duct into the next room, and add the terminal duct to the end of the extension duct. All 3 kits installed together are required for a new installation.
The transition duct can be ordered alone if you will be field fabricating a ducted system. When two adjacent rooms need to be conditioned, these duct kits can transfer air between rooms (airflow distribution can be adjusted from 65/35 to 80/20).
